SmartSoft Show New MIS and Storefront Enhancements for PressWise

AGOURA, Calif., October 4th, 2012 – SmartSoft will be showing an array of new enhancements for its all-in-one web storefront, workflow automation and print MIS solution, PressWise, at GraphExpo 2012 in Chicago from October 7th -11th.

One key development milestone is an all-new integration with Peachtree accounting software, allowing the export of order information into Peachtree data formats. QuickBooks support has also been refined for seamless accounting integration with PressWise systems, including improved handling of Sales Tax.

On the storefront end of PressWise, there have been numerous storefront enhancements, including improved shopping cart security, greater controls over templates, the ability to display inventory levels on storefront items, and further refinements to the customer ordering process.

In addition, PressWise has undergone a number of changes to its workflow tools, all designed to enhance the customer experience and minimize manual touches and human error, while driving a shop’s ROI. These include improved job ticketing, UI changes to enhance ease-of-use, more robust estimating tools for a wider range of job types, and improvements to the automated shipping and invoicing process.

“In keeping with the theme of GraphExpo this year, PressWise provides a fully integrated workflow system” said Tony Tarpey, Marketing Director for SmartSoft. “Most printers have implemented various software systems in their business such as web storefronts, print MIS, workflow automation tools etc. More often than not, however, these disparate solutions tend not to integrate well with each other, creating a kind of silo effect. This results in rekeying of data and many unnecessary manual touches in the workflow process, which eat away at profitability and ROI.

“In contrast, PressWise offers a true end-to-end solution, a single, universal workflow with APIs to allow simple integration of third-party systems where required, including most web storefronts on the market today, or accounting systems like QuickBooks and Peachtree. PressWise is the very essence of Print Integrated.”
